The quilted shell carries a light fill, so the coat holds warmth without the bulk a long puffer coat usually brings. A full-length zip runs the front with snap closures laid over the top, sealing the wind out at the placket. The line skims through the body rather than boxing you in, closer to a wrap coat than a sleeping bag. Over a jumper, the sleeves still move freely.

A Hood That Stays Up in Wind The hood sits close to the head, so it holds its position on an exposed platform. Indoors it drops flat against the back without bunching at the neck.

Quilted Channels That Trace the Waist The stitched panels narrow through the middle, which keeps the longline puffer coat from reading as a straight tube. The result is a defined line even with the zip fully closed.

Length That Covers the Cold Gap The hem falls past the hip, so the coat covers what a shorter jacket leaves exposed over trousers or a skirt.

Quilted Shell With a Light, Lofted Fill The outer face is a smooth, densely woven shell with almost no stretch, channel-quilted through to a lofted fill that stays even after folding. Seams are stitched flat along each channel, and the two-way zip is backed by a snap-over storm flap.

Wear it over a fine-knit roll neck with straight denim and ankle boots.
